"Our two children attended the Bow Making
Workshop with their Grandpa this past summer and had an amazing time. Even
Grandpa, a long time bow hunter who prefers to use handmade bows, learned
some new tricks. The kids felt a real sense of accomplishment and pride in
their work and have found a new interest in archery.
Thanks for the fun weekend!" - Allison
Our approach to teaching is that you will not only have the knowledge of bow making, but also enough understanding to be able to repeat the whole process on your own. This will be an all weekend workshop, beginning Saturday morning with the presentation of the bow staves and ending with learning how to shoot your new bow. On Sunday class includes two days of instruction, bow stave and your first arrow. All tools are provided. Extra arrows are available. Refer to calendar page for date, cost. This is a powerful weekend in which the student begins with a piece of a tree and touches the spirits of our ancestors by creating a shooting bow.
